Day of Mourning

Day of Mourning

No doubt your heart was broken as you heard our Governor Northam discuss the birth of a full-term baby. The discussion was about making the baby comfortable until a decision could be made between the doctors and the mother as to whether to terminate the baby’s life. Governor Northam used the word “baby”.

In reality, what he was discussing in a cool, “reasoned” way was infanticide. It is evil. How have we come this far? Is the shock of this to make abortion at an earlier stage more palatable? It doesn’t.

As you know, we have gathered for prayer for the persecuted the last two years. It has been thrilling to see our community come together to pray. There is a national movement calling for a “Day of Mourning” on April 6th that we might pray and repent before God. We are, once again, asking folks to gather for prayer at the Augusta County Courthouse to pray at noon.

Unplanned Movie Screening at Zeus Theaters

Would you like an opportunity to see a movie that speaks into the truth about the abortion industry, uplifts the pro-life movement, and powerfully demonstrates the compassion that Christ offers all of us?  Unplanned is that opportunity.  This movie tells the story of the life-changing transformation of Abby Johnson – at one time, one of the youngest clinic directors for Planned Parenthood that became a passionate pro-life speaker after witnessing the realities of abortion in her clinic.

At ComfortCare, we believe this screening opportunity is a gift.  It presents us with a chance to educate ourselves to become better informed advocates, to unite as a community, and to walk away encouraged by the powerful testimony of one woman that heeded God’s call on her life.  ComfortCare Women’s Health is blessed by the generosity of the supporter that is making this night possible and we hope that you can join us!

The Unplanned movie opens to the public on Friday, March 29. However, Zeus Theater has agreed to do an exclusive showing for ComfortCare the night before on March 28th! Tickets for this exclusive showing are just $3 and there are only 122 seats available. Go to our website to reserve your seats.
